Resumption of Public Masses
Dear Parishioners of St. Mark’s,
Good news! As of Friday, June 11, the government is allowing places of worship to open at 15 per cent capacity again. In our case, this means about 85 people. But we still must maintain social distancing, i.e. be 6 feet apart (unless part of a family living together), wear masks, and sanitize your hands.
This means we will be resuming our regular Mass schedule as of Friday, June 11, the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m.
Saturday: 5:00 p.m. (Confessions 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
Sunday: 8:30 a.m.; 10:00 a.m. (Polish); 11:30 a.m.
Our weekly bulletin is always available on our website (stmarkset.archtoronto.org). On the top ribbon select Bulletin. Also the Sunday homily is available every week. Select Parish Life on the top ribbon, then Parish Blog, and Sunday Homily.
A sincere “Thank you” to all who have been contributing to our parish by dropping off your envelopes at the rectory mail box, mailing them in, or donating online. You may, of course, still leave your offerings in the basket/box at the back of the Church.
The last fifteen months have indeed been challenging for all of us. We remember in particular those who have gone to the Lord, especially the many elderly in long term care homes, those who have been ill, those who have suffered loss of employment and personal difficulties, those who have struggled with isolation and depression. We rejoice that as of this Friday we will be able to gather once again to celebrate the Holy Eucharist together as a parish community. May God bless you all!
Sincerely yours in Our Lord,
(Rev.) Edward Koroway, Pastor
